My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello! My name is Angel Hair, and I was born at FMAR. My mama is Sweet Pea and my siblings are Baby's Breath, Himalayan Poppy and Orchid. My siblings and I love to play and then snuggle up with a human. When you come to the shelter to visit us, you'll notice we're in a separate room - we're a special bunch because we've tested positive for FIV. What is FIV? It's an incurable virus that makes us immune compromised - which means we definitely have to be indoor cats! FIV cannot be transmitted to humans or dogs, however, it can be transmitted to other cats through blood (typically deep bite wounds). What does that mean for my adoption? I have to go into a house by myself or with another FIV cat. Maybe you can take me and one of my siblings home?

If you'd like to adopt me, please submit an application. I'm spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and negative for FeLV.

More about this shelter

We are a nonprofit, no-kill animal shelter comprised mostly of volunteers. We take in cats and dogs from local shelters and the public who can no longer care for their pets. Each of the volunteers at FMAR has a tremendous amount of love for animals and simply wants to do what they can to ensure that as many animals as possible find a forever home. Until then, each animal has a home at FMAR indefinitely.
