My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Spot, a resilient little survivor! After a rough start with botflies that had to be removed, Spot has healed and now enjoys hanging out in the teen room, quietly observing everything around him. He doesn't run or hide and is perfectly content when you come up to pet him. With a little patience, Spot will come to you for affection on his own terms. He's still coming out of his shell and would do best in a home with another cat or kitten to help him adjust (though it's not required). If you're looking for a sweet, quiet companion, Spot could be your perfect match!

If you'd like to adopt Spot, please submit an application. She's spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and negative for FIV/FeLV.

More about this shelter

We are a nonprofit, no-kill animal shelter comprised mostly of volunteers. We take in cats and dogs from local shelters and the public who can no longer care for their pets. Each of the volunteers at FMAR has a tremendous amount of love for animals and simply wants to do what they can to ensure that as many animals as possible find a forever home. Until then, each animal has a home at FMAR indefinitely.
