My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Sweet Pea, a wonderful cat searching for her forever home! She came to FMAR pregnant and has since raised her adorable litter of kittens. Sweet Pea has tested positive for FIV, which means she'll need to be an indoor cat. While FIV makes her immune-compromised, it's important to know that it can't be transmitted to humans or dogs-only through deep bite wounds between cats. This means she can live happily with another FIV-positive cat or one of her kittens.

Since arriving at the shelter, Sweet Pea has blossomed and truly come out of her shell. She adores the attention from volunteers and loves playtime. Now, she's ready to find someone special to share her love with. If you're looking to add a little sweetness to your life and are open to giving a loving companion a chance, please reach out to set up a time to meet Sweet Pea!

If you'd like to adopt Sweetpea, please submit an application. I'm spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and negative for FeLV.

More about this shelter

We are a nonprofit, no-kill animal shelter comprised mostly of volunteers. We take in cats and dogs from local shelters and the public who can no longer care for their pets. Each of the volunteers at FMAR has a tremendous amount of love for animals and simply wants to do what they can to ensure that as many animals as possible find a forever home. Until then, each animal has a home at FMAR indefinitely.
