Are you looking for a happy girl to complete your family? My name is Baby and I came to FMAR because my human mom was in a fatal car accident and her best friend stepped in to rescue me! She kept me at her house for a little while but it was a temporary solution. I was adopted not too long after coming to FMAR. It was a wonderful family who loved me very much. They had a cat and an older dog so they hired a trainer to work with me to help me learn to contain my excitement around them. The family cried a lot of tears when they realized that their home might not be the best fit for me. So they took me back to FMAR where I'm now waiting for my next home.
I'm young and still learning good manners but I love EVERYONE! My energy might be too much for some dogs, but if we have a slow and proper introduction you might see that I'm the perfect fit for your family. I can't live with cats because I'm way too interested in chasing them. If you're looking for an energetic and playful girl, look no further!
If you would like to meet me, please submit an application for me on our website https://www.friendsofmichigan.org/adoptable-dogs. I am spayed, up to date on all age appropriate vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped, and on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. My adoption fee is $250, which helps cover the cost of the medical care I have received.
**Each dog is different, so each adoption is different. Our adoption process might require multiple visits to the shelter before our dogs can go home. Or they may be ready on the first visit. It really depends on the individual dog and the potential adopters. Once we receive your application, the Dog Staff will contact you to discuss meeting our dogs.

We are a nonprofit, no-kill animal shelter comprised mostly of volunteers. We take in cats and dogs from local shelters and the public who can no longer care for their pets. Each of the volunteers at FMAR has a tremendous amount of love for animals and simply wants to do what they can to ensure that as many animals as possible find a forever home. Until then, each animal has a home at FMAR indefinitely.
