My 90 year old mom had to go to a nursing home permanently and my siblings and I each have either 2 or 3 dogs already and the she does not like our large breed dogs. Syanne was rescued from the Erie Co. SPCA ten years ago by my mom. Syanne will be 13 years old in January. She is good with most dogs, but seems to be intimidated by large dogs and gets very defensive. She is a "yapper' watch dog but will calm down--she could benefit from training in this area. She definitely is a lap dog and wants to sit on your lap all the time if she had a choice. Would make a nice watch dog/companion for a senior human.
