My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ali is your girl if you are looking for a sweet and spice ginger cat to warm your home this fall. Ali has been an incredible mama, raising her newborn kittens and making sure that they were clean, well-fed, and loved. Now that her little ones have all gone to their forever homes, it's time for Ali to find hers!

This sweetheart has a constant purr and an unflagging enthusiasm for pets, headbutts, and chin scratches. She's not shy around new faces and adapts quickly to her surroundings. While not necessarily a lap cat, Ali wants to stay by your side - ideally within arm's reach on the couch or bed, close enough to get all the attention she craves. Her quirky, playful personality shines in little moments, like when she forgets to tuck her tongue in after grooming, or when she chatters away to her humans (orange cats love to talk!).

This little girl has a lot of personality in a small package! She's an expert hunter, and takes her role seriously; we expect any house she lands in will be quickly (and thoroughly) mouse-free. Her favorite pastime? Stalking and pouncing on stuffed mice, plush birds, and teaser wands--anything she can 'hunt' with gusto. Because she can get a bit frisky during play and has a firm nip when overstimulated, she would thrive in a home that understands cat body language and respects her boundaries (so probably no young children).

While she'll scamper around on the floor during playtime, she's been very cutesy, demure and mindful of things on shelves and counters - she hasn't been overly interested in houseplants or other knick knacks.

Due to having kittens until recently, Ali has not been introduced to other pets in the household. It's unknown how she would do with dogs or cats.

If you are looking for a spirited and affectionate companion, Ali might just be your match!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

By adopting a Feline Rescue cat you will be supporting a caring, no-kill shelter and making room for one more homeless cat. We are always looking for good, safe, loving homes for our many cats and kittens. We want to be sure placements are a success for both parties, so before we send our feline friends home with anyone, we ask you to fill out a basic questionnaire. Since we work with cats everyday we will be able to suggest a perfect match to your needs. All of our cats are spayed or neutered before adoption, receive all age-appropriate vaccinations, and high-quality veterinary care and exams. We charge an adoption fee to offset these costs. Adoption Hours: We are open seven days a week for adoptions, but our hours do vary. Please visit our website to see up to date open hours.
