My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Shelly! This curious little girl always wants to be in everyone’s business… she’s the supervisor of her household! Shelly has a gorgeous grey and white coat and a beautiful, loving personality to match! She absolutely loves to be cuddled and pet, when she’s not rough housing with her siblings that is. Shelly will make a wonderful addition to her future furever home!

Since Shelly is still young, she will need to be adopted into a home that has another kitty friend to play with, or with another kitty from FFF. Shelly would really love to be adopted with one of her siblings (Marlin, Rain, Sandy, or Reed) or her mom, Lake! Shelly and her siblings get along fabulously and they love to cuddle and play together. Shelly is a very friendly and easy-going kitty, and she loves to play with humans of all kinds! She is also currently in a foster home with an eleven-year-old dog whom she does very well with. Shelly has not yet met any young children, but she does well with older children and she would likely do well with younger children who have appropriate adult supervision (since she is still so small). Most importantly, Shelly needs to be adopted into a home that can give her all the love and attention she deserves!

Shelly is a very smart and independent kitty. On her first day in her foster home, she climbed to the very top of the cat tree with a few of her siblings and she was the only one who could figure out how to get down without crying for help. Shelly uses her intelligence to explore every corner of the home and learn all the best ways to get to the top of anything climbable! Shelly also loves to play, her favorite toys are sparkle balls, catnip toys, and her siblings! These crazy kitties zoom all over the place with their kitten energy. Shelly loves chasing her siblings up the cat tree almost as much as she loves lounging at the top of it.

Once she’s all tired out from play, Shelly absolutely loves to cuddle! She is such a lovebug and she will happily lounge in your lap all day while she enjoys belly rubs and kisses. Shelly is such a gentle soul; she will melt your heart when she melts into your lap. Shelly will definitely be a kitty who demands a lot of attention, she will happily sit in your lap all day if you let her!

If you’re ready to welcome this sweet, sassy, curious little girl into your home then now is the time! Contact us today to meet Shelly and her siblings. She can’t wait to fill your home with so much love, laughter, and joy.

Additional adoption info

Thank you for your interest in Forever Fortunate Felines.  We are very happy to have the opportunity to match you with your purr-fect cat-panion!

Once you complete the online application using the below link, you will be able to discuss and ask questions directly to the foster parent.  We believe this is a big advantage to you as our organization is completely foster based, we really understand our cats personalities at a deep level.  This helps to ensure a great match with you and your family.

In order to get the process going, would you kindly fill out our detailed online application located here:
http://www.foreverfortunatefelines.org/adopt

Completing our online application does not commit you to adopt from our rescue.  Rather it helps us to understand your requirements and match you with the best possible cat or kitten.

Once you complete the application and it is approved, we can set up a meet and greet and if all works out, you may bring the kittens or cats home the same day.  Please make sure to bring an adequately sized pet carrier with you to your meet and greet.  We recommend a pet carrier which opens from the top as this is the easiest way to place a cat inside a carrier.  If you do decide to adopt, we do expect you to take home your cat the same day as there are so many cats and kittens which need to be rescued from high kill shelters, we almost always rescue a new cat or kitten the very next day.  If it is not possible for you to take your cat or kitten home the same day, we do charge a boarding fee of $10 per day for supplies and to encourage you to take your newly adopted cat home.  We will board for a maximum of 3 days if needed to allow you time to get needed supplies.

Our adoption fees are listed at the link below. This fee includes full vetting, flea treatment, de-worming, spay surgery, FeLV and FIV test, microchip insertion, and vaccinations up to date for the kittens or cats age.  We are able to PayPal or most major credit cards for the adoption fee.

We have streamlined our adoption process to make it easy!  Everything from the application, to payment, to the contract is online.  Additionally, all of the cats records will be placed in your free Petlovers account at petstablished.com to keep organized.
