ADOPT ME ONLINE: https://ophrescue.org/dogs/13946
Miss Minnie is a 14-pound Shih Tzu mix. She is likely around 10 years old but has the energy and joy of a much younger pup. She came into rescue with Daisy and while the girls do well together, they can be adopted separately and probably would benefit from being apart. Minnie was recently groomed but her natural hair is longer, and silky.
Personality & Behavior:
-Minnie is a wweet, cheerful girl
-Friendly and affectionate; loves to snuggle
-Adventurous and independent, Minnie likes to explore her surroundings and sometimes she'll playfully hop up on chairs and sofas to get a good view of things.
-Loves to take walks (click
here and
here ) and is not daunted by hills or the wild outdoors. It's so much fun
walking with my friend Daisy!
-Minnie is very lively after walks and before meals and she settles down nicely after meals and in the evenings
-Minnie makes her own fun and doesn't find toys that interesting.
-Minnie isn't a fan of the large German Shepherd in the foster home and Minnie will bark at her to let her feelings known!
-Minnie gets along great with Daisy - a dog about Minnie's size. When Daisy bosses Minnie around, Minnie patiently ignores her.
Training & Socialization:
-Minnie is doing well with hher housetraining as long as her foster mom remembers to get her outside in time.
-Minnie has polite leash manners and good house manners, even when she is left loose in one room for the day.
-She is also good in a crate, whether she is riding in the crate in a car, or enjoying her meals in her crate at home.
-After a day of fun, Minnie sleeps quietly through the night in her little round bed dreaming of her forever home.
