My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Florence is spunky with a tortitude

To start our adoption process, House of Mews Rescue asks that you please complete our online no-obligation adoption application, which is located on our website under the adopt tab at http://www.houseofmewsrescue.org/adopt.html

Should our adoption coordinator feel your application is a good fit, a HOM volunteer will reach out to discuss it with you.

Current on vaccinations, and have tested negative for both FIV ('Feline Immunodeficiency Virus') and FeLV (Feline Leukemia).

Florence, Milan, Sicily, and their mother were scheduled to be euthanized to make space in a shelter.  Through some social media networking, the family was transferred to House of Mews through networking to save their lives.  Upon arrival, the girls were found malnourished and infested with intestinal parasites; they ravished every single meal as if they had never eaten in their lives.  Finally, these little ladies realize they will not be deprived of food again, but they still squeal and dance around like groupies when they see or hear a can of fancy feast popping open.

Florence is a light brown tabby.  She is energetic, spunky and has a bit of tortitude.  She does not like to be grabbed abruptly and prefers to show go to her humans when her highness feels like it.  When she is in the mood to be affectionate, she is a total love bug.  Florence is very playful and curious.  She likes to explore and get into things.  She and her sisters think a hand-held vacuum cleaner is a movable toy.  The girls chase after anything that moves and will wrestle with a paper towel roll.  She is looking for a family who will appreciate her spunkiness and her desire to be a little diva at times.  She also would like a friendly feline companion in her new home.  She would be ecstatic if she could be adopted into a home with her mom or one of her sisters, Milan or Sicily.
