Introducing Helios, this beautiful one year old pit bull mix will steal your heart with his fawn colored coat and his gentle demeanor. Helios is an excitable and happy young pup that loves to go out for walks, play with human companions, and shows great interest in other furry companions. His agility and athleticism make him a fun companion for any adventure, whether it's a hike, a run, or a game of fetch. When it comes to other dogs, Helios is full of curiosity and energy. He's still learning the ins and outs of canine social skills, often approaching with an enthusiastic tail wag and a keen interest in what his doggy friends are up to. While he sometimes needs a little guidance to keep things balanced, his playful spirit shines through. Helios would thrive in a home where he can continue to grow and learn, either with a well-matched dog buddy or as your one and only. If you're looking for a loyal, fun-loving companion who's always up for the next big adventure, Helios is ready to join your pack!

More about this rescue

We are a group of people dedicated to rescuing dogs from crisis situations, some of which include euthanasia by animal shelters, neglect and other forms of abuse, or "free to a good home" ads, which result in dogs being bounced from one home to another, or being acquired by animal brokers ("bunchers") and sold to research laboratories where they are used for testing then discarded ("cruelty industries").

NBCR&P works primarily with 5 herding breeds, and herding breed mixes. On occasion, NBCR&P also rescues and places other breeds. We foster our dogs in a home environment, rather than a kennel, if at all possible. We take pride in our promise that at any time and for any reason in the dog's life, if the need arises, he or she has a safe place with us ("return to rescue" policy).
