His favorite thing is spending time by his favorite person's side. Cruz makes new dog friends quickly and sometimes needs time to warm up to them (think about meeting new people and figuring out if you can be friends). You can drop by and say hello to Cruz Tuesday through Sunday between 10 am and 4:30 pm - no appointment necessary! He'll be waiting to meet you with open paws! ¡Conoce a Cruz! We are a group of people dedicated to rescuing dogs from crisis situations, some of which include euthanasia by animal shelters, neglect and other forms of abuse, or "free to a good home" ads, which result in dogs being bounced from one home to another, or being acquired by animal brokers ("bunchers") and sold to research laboratories where they are used for testing then discarded ("cruelty industries").

NBCR&P works primarily with 5 herding breeds, and herding breed mixes. On occasion, NBCR&P also rescues and places other breeds. We foster our dogs in a home environment, rather than a kennel, if at all possible. We take pride in our promise that at any time and for any reason in the dog's life, if the need arises, he or she has a safe place with us ("return to rescue" policy).
