My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Duke! He's a young adult male Pittie blend who loves everyone! Duke likes to run and play with toys, and has done well with our other social dogs. He's eager-to-please and not bad on a leash! He traveled with us to an adoption event in Washington and did great on the long ride, meeting new people and other dogs. He loves to be around people and settles nicely after he works out his initial exuberance! Duke is usually initially shy with strangers at his kennel front, so please be sure to meet him outside of his kennel, our staff and volunteers would be happy to help you!
Duke was selected to participate in Del Norte Humane Society's Prison Paws Partnership (PPP)! PPP is a 6-8 week program of training for the selected dogs and their inmate handlers at Pelican Bay State Prison. The dog participants are available for adoption through the Humane Society at the completion of the program. Duke successfully completed the program and is ready for his forever home! If you are interested in Duke, please contact Del Norte Humane Society! (707) 464-1686 and check out their Prison Paws Partnership FB page! His DNA test revealed he also has some Border Collie, Lab, and German Shepherd!
Come check out our other dogs available for adoption at 2650 Washington Blvd, Crescent City, CA 95531. Kennels are open Mon-Fri, 9AM-4PM, or by appointment.
