My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! I’m Jack! Let me tell you a little about myself—because I think we might just be a perfect match! I’m a 1-year-old, 58-pound bundle of love, charm, and fun. Everyone says I’m lighthearted and beautiful (blushing here), but I’ll let you decide when we meet.

Before I came to the rescue, I was found as a stray, looking for someone to love me. Thankfully, some kind people scooped me up and gave me a second chance—and now I’m ready to find my furever home! I walk nicely on a leash, so we can enjoy lots of adventures together. I’ve got a great disposition, and I’m friendly with people and other dogs. I absolutely LOVE toys (check out my video)—seriously, I might be the biggest teddy bear fan you’ll ever meet. At the adoption center, I tried to take every single one home with me! But I really just did that to tell the universe to please send me a family of my very own to snuggle with! I’m pretty affectionate, so if you’re into cuddles and belly rubs, I’m your guy. Oh, and I’m a good car buddy, so road trips are definitely in our future if that’s your thing!

I’m neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, so I’m all ready to move in with my furever family. My adoption fee is $415, and I promise I’m worth every penny.  I’ve got my leash and toys ready—just waiting for you! All you have to do is fill out an application at www.ehrdogs.org and ask for JACK SCAS!

More about this rescue

Eleventh Hour Rescue, based in Morris County NJ, is a primarily volunteer run, no-kill rescue that saves animals on Death Row from high-kill shelters. Eleventh Hour Rescue dogs and cats are cared for by our compassionate and dedicated team of volunteers and staff. Whether in foster homes, our kennel or adoption centers, each dog and cat receives a clean and safe living environment, fresh food and water, medical attention, and most importantly an abundance of love and care until they find their FURever homes. We are dedicated to educating the community about the animal over-population problem and the importance of spaying and neutering. All funds go directly to supporting our animals and their needs. We are an eligible charity under federal code 501(c)3 founded in 2004.
