My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Boston was brought in by their previous owner.

Why Boston might bethe one for you:
Boston is a majestic looking guy with his coat of many blended colors and sharp white markings on his neck and chest - so handsome. Boston would like a a calm, quiet home to help him feel safe. He thrives with low-pressure interactions and might benefit from having another dog in the home for support. One of our in-house trainers who has been working with Boston can talk to you about how to work with Boston and his shy behaviors. With patience, positive reinforcement support and understanding, you can help Boston build his confidence to become your loyal companion and protector. He would do best with children over the age of 10 and would love a household that understands his need for slow introductions. He's ready to grow with you and see your world with you!

At SDHS:
Boston has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered and is now ready for their new home!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
