My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
This pet was brought in by their previous owner.

Why Vinnie might be the one for you:
Vinnie is a gentle soul looking for a new home. Vinnie is doing well in foster care where her foster mom says she is great to take on walks. She was brought in with another dog and might do best with another dog who can help Vinnie develop her self confidence. Vinnie is a pretty dog with her tawny coloring and big black sniffer nose. She likes being an indoor and outdoor dog. She likes exploring her safe outdoor space and then she likes coming inside to cuddle next to her person. Do you have both indoor and outdoor space for Vinnie? Do you have patience and understanding as she settles into her new home on her own time? If so, you will soon be rewarded with a pretty dog by your side who will entertain you and bring joy into your life. Contact us at the information below and we will arrange for you and Vinnie to meet up.

At SDHS:
Vinnie has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered and is now ready for their new home!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
