My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Phoebe, an enchanting feline who oversees the kitchen activities at HART! This 10-year-old long-haired gray and white tuxedo cat is a vision of beauty with her distinctive ear tufts, large fluffy paws, and captivating green eyes.

When she's not overseeing the behind the scenes operations at HART, Phoebe can be found engaging in her favorite hobbies. Playing with strings and wand toys brings out her playful side, but the true key to her heart is a tasty treat. Phoebe enjoys basking in a warm sunspot in her window catio and watching the birds fluttering outside.

Phoebe's affectionate nature shines through in her head-bonking, leg-rubbing antics, a gentle plea for attention and love. While she enjoys being pampered with petting and brushing, she longs for a family that understands and respects her independent spirit, even when she sometimes signals she's done with an attempted nip. Her caretakers at HART believe this behavior could improve with the stability of a loving home.

Having already spent over a year at the shelter, Phoebe dreams of finding her purr-fect forever home where her beauty, playfulness, and occasional moods are not just accepted but cherished. Will you be the one to make Phoebe's dream come true? Adopt this enchanting feline and let the magic of her presence fill your home with love.

More about this rescue

HART is a hands-on volunteer organization working to make a difference in our community of San Luis Obispo County by rescuing abandoned animals, trapping and neutering stray and feral cats, and fostering sick and needy animals until we can find the best matched homes for them. Our unique cage-fee shelter allows cats to roam freely and socialize with each other. We are a no-kill shelter.
