My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We have a ground transport trip set to leave from CA on 10/22 that we are personally taking our dogs on to the east coast. We have stops in OH, PA, NJ, and CT as of now, and would love to add Nova to our transport for the right home no matter where you are in route! Adoption fee/travel is due when we arrive in person with Nova as we want our adopters to feel as comfortable as possible throughout the entire adoption process ❤️

Meet Nova. She is a purebred Great Dane. She is almost 5 months of age. She is current on all vaccines, microchipped, has been thourely examined, and cleared by our vet to find a home all her own. No, she isn't yet spayed. We will be sending her home on a spay contract, as she is much to young. It's reccomended for her growth plates to fully close prior to sterilization so waiting is in the best long term health interest of Nova ❤️

She is VERY good about going outside to use the restroom, so as long as she has a routine set up in her next home, it will not be hard to take over where we left off with her. She is VERY smart, and learns things VERY quickly so training her has been an absolute pleasure.

She is conditioned to a crate, but it is not her favorite place and has voiced her opinion more than once that she is happier sleeping on a dog bed aside ours. We have zero accidents throughout the night, so we allow her voice to be heard 😊

She has not yet been introduced to leash time out of the home, as she didn't have all of her vaccines when she came into our care but we have put a harness on her and walked her around our property and she did pretty good with it! It will definitely be something that needs to be continued in the next home, but it won't be a hard task at all!

She is AMAZING with ALL dogs, big or small. She LOVES to play, and will instantly engage in play with her newly made dog friends. She is a SWEET girl, with a heart as big as she is! She is EVERYTHING you LOVE in this big beautiful giant breed of a dog, and you get the pleasure of loving her from a very early start in her life, which means your heart will be allowed to love her even longer ❤️❤️❤️

She LOVES toys, and will run around throwing her own ball or rope in the air. She is also a total lounger, and will put herself to nap during the day. She is obsessed with blankets and has learned how to take them out of our hallway closet all the way to her bed so she can cozy up to them. Yes, sometimes she ends up with 2-3 blankets at a time so if you don't mind having a blanket obsessed Dane, then her antics will warm your heart and joy as they have ours.

She is amazing on road trips around town, and loves her car rides even more when someone sits in the backseat with her so she can take see your lap as a cushion 😉

Have a kiddie pool? No? Then you'll definitely need one!! She LOVES splashing around in them, and will spend a lot of time lounging around pool side if given the opportunity to do so 🙂

She loves to follow you around, and will walk between your legs, and will sometimes stop dead in the middle of them and just stand there 😂 She is a total Velcro girl, and really loves being around her people, but is also very independently natured and has no problem entertaining herself so you truly couldn't ask for a better friend in her when looking for a special soul to spend your days and LIFE with.

Her adoption fee is on our website under her adoption listing at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/post/_nova

It covers her vaccines, microchip/registration, exam with our vet, overall care associated in the time she has been here with us, and the training we have personally done with her.
