About Me: Hi! My name is Milton, I kind of had a rough start at life, I was found by a good Samaritan who spotted my cracked plastic enclosure in the ditch on the side of the road near Eagle Lake. This nice woman who saved my life and helped me was unable to keep me due to her curious cats, so she asked Mending Spirits for assistance! My favorite activities include digging in my sand bath as well as bathing, Running on my wheel- I'm super fast, and greeting my human when I hear them giving me food. I enjoy the “adult husbandry” in my foster home and would do best in a laid-back similar atmosphere due to my unknown age and traumatic life experience. I’m a lucky little hammy and I’m looking for the perfect person who can really treasure my companionship in this next chapter of life.
From the Foster: Like Milton said, he was found inside a plastic cage on the side of the road- he had no food and very little water. When he first came to mending spirits we thought Milton was a Mabel but after time realized Mabel was a Milton. The first day he gorged as much food as he could fit in his cheeks and ran on his new wheel. He was super skittish the next week, not really trusting he was safe, but after the second week Milton realized he was in a caring home and began to greet me when I'd change his food and water. I'm happy to say Milton runs to greet me whenever he hears me in the room and accepts treats from my hand. Over time I think he'd enjoy being held, he is extremely fast though! His favorite thing to do is dig, whether that's in his sand bath or little hut, he's digging- flinging whatever lays in his path. I've really enjoyed watching Milton grow and become confident in his surroundings. I know Milton would love to find a forever family and home.
