My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ANNA NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!!

Name: Anna        Best Guess for Breed:  Rottweiler mix

Best Guess for Age: 6 years as of October 2024       SEX: Female

Approximate Weight:   78 lbs

Gets Along With:    Other dogs! We haven't seen her with kids or cats but she can be tested

Currently Living at:   Lucky Dog's South Carolina rescue campus; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to come up!

Anna is Looking For:  Snugs (full body snuggles). Lap time with her humans. Rottweilers - IYKYK! Anna landed in the shelter due to no fault of her own. She just wants to once again have her own humans, to know where she belongs, and upon whom to lavish all those adoring gazes and all that loyal companionship she has. At six or so years of age, she's out of the puppy yips and knows it's all about being safe and loved and under her own roof.

What do you say? Is this gorgeous girl the one you see trotting by your side - and curled up by (or in?) your lap?

What My Foster Says About Me:   We will update this once she has arrived in the DC area and spent some time with her foster.

Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

The adoption process begins when you submit an adoption application either online or at an adoption event. The individual responsible for the dog you are interested in adopting - a position we call the “adoption coordinator” - will then set up a time to discuss your application over the telephone. The adoption coordinator will check your vet reference to make sure all current and past pets were kept up-to-date with their shots and medical care. The adoption coordinator will also set up a home visit with one of our trained volunteers. That individual will come to your home to ensure that it is a safe environment, to confirm that everyone in the home is on board with adopting a dog, and to discuss any other questions you may have about dog adoption!

Go meet their pets

Our adoption events are held each weekend. A schedule of times and locations can be found at www.luckydoganimalrescue.org.
