What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
We adopted Rosco in 2019 from the San Bernardino animal shelter. He was a bit shy and timid when he first came to our house, but after a short week he was right at home.
While we don’t know his background or age, he is the sweetest dog and has become family to me and my husband. He is very mellow and relaxed, loves to cuddle, and is always looking out for leftover food. He is great with people, everyone loves him!
He does not do well with other dogs. When we first brought him home, we tried introducing him to another pitbull and Rosco tried to attack the dog. We are unsure if he was used as a bait dog prior to us adopting him. Since then, he stays in the house and has our backyard to run around and he is genuinely a happy dog.
The only reason we are looking for a new home is due to us expecting our first child. Although we truly believe that Rosco would be gentle and loving around a baby, we do not want to take the risk. It really breaks our hearts to write this
