Meet our beautiful mama Gwendolyn. Mama Gwen just had kittens about 3 1/2 months ago. She was a very attentive mama to her sweet babies, but she is ready for some me time now and would probably prefer a chill environment where she can be your one and only kitty. Gwen is a petite girl who has a gorgeous silver tabby coat of fur that is silky soft and light green eyes. This young lady is undemanding and can entertain herself. Laying on a soft bed while the sun shines through the window on her makes her happy as can be. Pet her and she will snuggle up to you while slowly blinking her eyes at you. She also has a playful side and does like to bat a wand toy with you, for short periods of time. She and her babies were rescued from the streets after being abandoned. Because they were so friendly, they were easy to handle and could be picked right up. Gwendolyn can't wait to find a quiet forever home where she can share her love with you.

We adopt animals to homes in the Los Angeles area and neighboring counties.
Our cat adoption questionnaire https://kittenrescue.org/adopt/cat-adoption-form/ is first step of our adoption process, which also includes a home visit, the signing of an adoption contract, and payment of our adoption fee.
Adoption Fees
$150 for a kitten or cat up to 10 years old, or $250 if you adopt a pair.
Cats above 10 years old have a fee reduction of 50%, for an adoption fee of $75 each.
Our dog adoption fee depends on the dog breed and age.

Many of our kitties live in foster homes and can be visited at one of our four weekly adoption events or by arranging directly with the foster.

More about this rescue

Kitten Rescue is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization devoted to finding loving homes for unwanted, homeless cats and kittens. We rescue cats and kittens from the streets of Los Angeles and from City Shelter euthanasia. Since our start in 1997, we have grown into one of the largest, most well-respected animal welfare groups in LA.

Kitten Rescue volunteers adopt out over 2,000 cats and kittens into homes every year. We educate the public about responsible pet guardianship, how to care for kittens and cats, and the importance of spaying and neutering. Kitten Rescue makes educational material available via events, print, school presentations and here on our website. We also provide Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) assistance for communities in and around Los Angeles, and teach people how to manage and care for feral cat colonies.
