My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What my friends at ACC say about me:

I have medical needs that staff will address with you when you meet me.

I am a sweet, social, older gal, looking for the perfect forever home!

I lived with children in my previous home.

I am a cat that is in need of a lap! I can't wait to be your new lap cat.

A volunteer writes: When I visit with Boo-ba, I think of the Velveteen Rabbit. Boo-ba was somebody's kitten once and knows about the loveliness that accompanies youth. But true beauty comes from being loved and Boo-ba knows all about being loved. In her previous home, Boo-ba was a well known lap cat who made great efforts to be with the people she loved. Playing gently and pouncing on her toys, she's playful and joyful and in need of just one more chance to be great. What you'll notice when you come to meet Boo-ba is her beauty, yes, but also some scratches and scarring here and there. Boo-ba has a skin condition that makes her itch a bit more than she'd like, but there's more to all of us than some superficial imperfections and they do, in fact, become part of our beauty. When I met Boo-ba, she happily came to the front. Looking around and nuzzling my hand, she's incandescent. Leaning her head into me, Boo-Ba asked if we could just spend a few moments together in cuddles, friendship, and people watching. Of course! She is curious, friendly, and so very hopeful that the chance to be real, found, and loved will come her way again.
