My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What my friends at ACC say about me:

My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!

I will need daily physical activity to keep me healthy and happy!

I love to be loved, but on my own terms! Let's brush up on some canine body language together!

I'm ready to learn! I need a patient person who has the time to work on training with me.

I would do best in a home without very tiny humans, although I could be open to older human children once I meet them.

I am excitable and energetic! I will need positive outlets for my energy!

My #BoroughBreak Buddy Writes: Pete was SO sweet and a very fast learner! He was a bit chaotic on the leash while he took in his surroundings at first, but as the day went on, he learned to keep an eye on me and stayed glued to my side during the walk. He is smart, social, loves humans and seemed eager to play with other dogs (though we worked on keeping our distance)!

My #BoroughBreak Buddy Writes: Pete is joy in a dog body! He loves to play and is not afraid to show the rest of the world! He was notorious for "splooting" when given a toy and rolling around just for the fun of it. No one is a stranger to Pete. He wants to play with anyone and everybody, including other dogs. When he came across another dog, he laid down and waited them to come over. Unfortunately for him, he was not allowed to say, hi but hopefully he can in his new family. Pete does not pull very much, but sometimes would look back to play. Pete loves to sit on laps and give hugs. With some training, Pete will be a fantastic, loving dog for your family.
