My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

CENSUS DEADLINE
5PM 12/10/24
Name: Dilly
Animal ID: A804804
Age: 2 years
Weight: 68.80 lbs.

About: Dilly A804804
Dilly is wiggly, chonky girl who was surrendered to the shelter dressed in a pickle costume- so the name Dilly is fitting! She lived in one home for two years and reportedly did well with kiddos, was house and crate trained, loves car rides, and has a funny habit of rolling over and wiggling on her back to ask for belly rubs. She’s a Velcro dog who loves nothing more than to be near her people. While she’s a couch potato overall, she loves toys and hiking. Her former people said:

“She`s a good dog. She deserves to be loved. She deserves a person that could train her better than I could. Please help her find a family.”

Here’s what one volunteer at the shelter said:

“Who is the happiest girl in the world despite being in an over capacity shelter?? It`s Dilly! This girl is happy and wiggly any time you see her. I walk by her kennel and stop multiple times during my shifts and all she wants is my attention. She presses up against the door and wiggles all over while I`m there. When it`s time to take her out, she continues to exude happiness on our walk and in the yard. I love on her and she gives kisses in return. She has done great with a kennelmate and has a big personality! She would bring a smile to anyone`s face.”
While Dilly is a sweet and gentle dog, she did have an incident with another dog in her former home that resulted in a bite when the owner was trying to separate them. She has a tendency to resource guard valuable items such as food and toys from other pets, so she will need time alone in a separate area to enjoy toys or when eating.
Dilly will make a wonderful companion and just needs a little bit of extra support to thrive in a home. We promise this girl is worth it! Please ask about her today!
