Oh my goodness, this dog is so great! First off his adorableness: with a big head on stubbly little legs, he's as cute as can be. It's hard to resist smooshing his sweet face, and Poe is quite content to soak up all the love and attention.
Even more good news: Poe has a beautiful demeanor. He's gentle and calm and friendly. He just likes plopping himself near whatever action is going on. Right now he's enjoying being a work-from-home buddy in his foster home.
Poe is a senior gentleman, which means that he's mastered the good-dog behaviors that his younger peers are still working on. He's house-trained, he has wonderful leash manners, and he knows to keep all four paws on the floor. He's calm around other dogs and he seems to be just fine with dog-savvy cats. He's a big fan of napping and conserving his energy, so he's not going to be a hiking or jogging buddy, but he likes walks around the neighborhood and hanging out at dog-friendly breweries and restaurants.
