Meet Sable  

Sable is a 16 week old puppy with big paws, a big appetite and a bigger personality.

At 31 lbs at just 16 weeks, Sable is on track to be 80+ lbs full grown but the bigger the dog, the bigger the love! 

Sable came into rescue after being surrendered to the city shelter due to his prior family facing housing insecurity. Despite a rough start to life, Sable has shown extreme resilience and adaptability.

Sable is very smart and has mastered his sit command. He is also 100% weepad trained and knows to go potty quickly on every walk as well. Sable is completely crate trained and often naps in his crate voluntarily during the day and sleeps in his crate without issue throughout the night.

Sable is currently working on his mouthiness and accepting affection from his humans. Having gone through a lot of change in his short life has forced such a young pup to become extremely independently - really preferring physical contact on his own terms. Since Sable is a boy who knows what he wants, it's best he goes to a family without very young children. Sable will do great in a home with older, respectful children who can respect his boundaries or even an adult only home!

Some of Sables favorite activities are fetch with the squeakiest ball possible and playing with puzzles - mental and physical stimulation will be essential for his growth! 
 

Sable is definitely a quirky dog who will require a savvy owner to continue reinforcing his basic training throughout the remainder of his adolescence but in return, the bond and love Sable has to offer is something you won't find elsewhere.
