What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Dakota is a delightful 4 YO husky mix with a smaller build, radiating love/playfulness. Though initially shy around new people/animals, she blossoms into an energetic companion once she feels safe. Her temperament is exemplary; she easily gets along with both small and large dogs, provided theyre friendly. While Dakota may cower in the presence of aggressive dogs, shes not aggressive herself and often seeks comfort. As a highly intelligent dog, she responds well to commands and thrives on affection and exercise, making her an ideal pet for a dedicated/active owner.
She has a playful side, sometimes barking during exuberant play, but shes generally quiet, only whining to signal her need to go outside. House-trained and well-mannered, she is curious—often attempting to sneak treats from countertops and trash cans, which is why she roams the house only when supervised, I havent had time to train. Her loyalty/joy in play make her an exceptional companion as a single dog or second dog.
