My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What a sweet boy! His name really fits.

Sweet Potato came into the shelter as one of many cats that came from an owner who was overwhelmed with too many animals. He's been nervous in the shelter, due to the busy environment, but he will allow visitors to pet him; he just hasn't learned to enjoy it yet, per se. But we think that he may grow to enjoy it in the right home, with a quiet, calm environment and a patient owner.

Sweet Potato would benefit greatly from the presence of a friendly, confident, human-loving cat in the home to "show him the ropes." Many times, we've seen that this can help nervous cats to acclimate and learn to appreciate human attention. He would not want to live with a dog. He's looking for an adult-only home (teens would be okay too).

If you're interested in this orange beauty, call the shelter at (603) 472-3647 and press 1 for adoptions to schedule an appointment to meet him!
