Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Carly is a scruffy-haired, spunky, energetic, lovable Patterdale Terrier/Pitbull mix who is a little less than 1.5 years old and weighs around 40lbs. Carly was brought into our local high kill shelter with her 2 adolescent puppies as owner surrenders, because their owners simply didn't want them anymore.
While Carly definitely isn't the most laid back dog we've ever had, her energy level isn't too crazy! She likes short play sessions with other dogs and is very respectful of their boundaries. Carly is very even-tempered as well, and will give fair corrections to dogs who are not too respectful of her personal space. We like to say Carly is the fun aunt of the group because she gives off such a vibrant and joyous vibe!
Carly has an adorable signature move that the shelter volunteers started calling her "raising the roof" which immediately stuck because it's very appropriate! Her RTR move embodies her spunky personality perfectly- on top of it being the cutest thing ever!!
Carly is a big people lover and really emulates the energy that is being given off by whoever is around her. If you're a more outdoorsy adventure type person, Carly will be right there with you on every step of the hike! If you're more of a homebody, she'll happily accompany you to the couch and chill with you for however long you want! She is such a trooper and is down for any lifestyle handed to her, as she's already been through one of the worst ones life can hand to such a loving dog. Carly is eager and more than ready to make up for all of those missed adventures and cuddles!
Carly is good with other dogs and people of all kinds. We think she would be good with older kids, but she can be a bit too hyper at times to safely be around younger kids. Carly is very smart and easily trainable, and she lives to please her people! She is crate and house trained already and seems to be an excellent houseguest.
Carly is located in Houston TX but can be transported to most US states for adoption.
