Howdy humans, I am an adorable little Aussie/Chihuahua mix Puppy with great big ears, one blue eye, and I look like a tiny German Shepherd. My name is J.W. (aka John Wayne), I am about 3 months old, weigh almost 7 lbs, and when I was a little baby I was thrown over someone’s backyard fence in Lytle Texas. Thankfully the giant dog living in that yard wasn't aggressive or I would have been a tasty snack, and later that day I was taken to the local Animal Shelter where 4 Little Paws Rescue found me.
Besides being totally adorable, I am a happy and friendly little tyke, always wagging, always playing, and I love everyone, dogs, cats, and humans of every age and size. I love romping and wrestling with all my dog and puppy buddies and every doggy toy is my favorite! My foster mom says I’m super sweet and super affectionate and love to be held and carried around. I do well in a crate and I know how to potty on a potty pad. I know how to chill out, I’m not overly barky and I will express my “opinion” with little barks/yaps and running about. Im a crack-up! I hear many wonderful families on the East Coast would be happy to have a sweet little dog like me, so I can't wait to meet them and get my life started! Inquire about me today and bring me home.
* 4 Little Paws is based in CT. We adopt in many different states along the East Coast. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee. If you are located outside the states we typically adopt to, we have options to get the dog of your dreams to your location.

Please DO NOT apply unless the entire family / household is on board with adopting one of our dogs. We must receive an application for you to move forward in the process. Thoughtful direct emails are welcome and will be answered. However, an application is still a necessary step. We want to make sure we find our dogs a perfect fit with a family so both the dog and the family are happy. We keep our dogs with fosters once we get them out of shelters for a little bit to learn and understand their personalities. Our relationship with families doesn't stop at adoption! We are always available for any follow up questions and are happy to be a resource as you and your new pet settle into a routine.
