My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Boot! 🐾
This adorable girl is around 3 years old and weighs a petite 44lbs. She got her name because she resembles a beloved shelter employee's dog named Shoe, and just like her namesake, she’s a real sweetheart!
Boot has the most stunning, mesmerizing blue eyes that will capture your heart at first glance! She has been a star during her dog assessments, displaying loose, happy, and friendly body language. We believe she would thrive in a home with other friendly dogs, as she loves to socialize and play!
If you’re looking for a loving companion who gets along well with others, Boot might just be the perfect fit for your family. Come meet her at the shelter and see for yourself what a wonderful addition she could be!RCHS does not conduct DNA tests on dogs who enter our facility therefore we are unable to guarantee breed or breed mix. Information provided by shelter staff, volunteers, and veterinarians is used to give a best estimate as to a dog’s breed make up. We do our best to inform adopters about the potential breeds for each dog.

We are a dog only facility so we do not know how most of our dogs will be with cats. Even if a dog is surrendered to us and said to be good with cats there is no way to be sure the dog will be good with your cats. We do have a 7 day foster-to-adopt program so that you can see how the dog interacts with your cats before adoption.
