Marley is an eight-year-old driven Golden Retriever who is full of personality and energy. You would never know his true age by seeing him in action. He is looking for his forever home where he can thrive. Marley is a bit of a restless soul and has learned to entertain himself, sometimes leading to trouble like digging in the yard or saying no to crates.
Here’s a little more about Marley:
*He knows basic commands like "sit" and we are working on “down”, but he will need to attend obedience classes.
*He’s a "Velcro dog" who loves to be near you and thrives off attention.
*Marley loves car rides but needs to learn some car etiquette.
*He enjoys playing and his favorite is Chuck-it! He will bring the ball back over and over again! His adopter will need to be active and give him the required exercise he needs.
*Marley can be an only dog, but only if his adopter is home more than away
*Marley is not fond of being in a crate. Adopters would need to work with him and the crate would need to be large and strong.
*He gets along well with other dogs (after slow and appropriate introductions).
*No cats or small animals,—he can’t resist chasing them!
*Best with teenagers and up.
*A physical fence is a must (no invisible fences). He will need supervision in the yard, as he loves to dig when left to his own devices.
*Marley has dug out at his previous foster home and the boarding facility. If he sees a cat he will want to go! It would be ideal for his adopter to have large dog experience and strength to handle him when he gets an impulse. (Did we say he likes to chase small critters?)
Marley is a diamond in the rough looking for a home with someone who can offer him plenty of love, exercise, and structure.
We would love to speak to you about Marley, submit your application today!

We want to find the best possible home for our dogs. We have a thorough process. After the home visit and the volunteer submits their notes, we approve or deny.
If it is approved, the applicant's application will be forwarded to fosters to review. If they are selected, meet and greets take place to determine if it is a good fit. If so, both foster/applicant determine if they want to move forward.
