Our volunteers will not discuss dogs we have available for adoption UNTIL you have an application on file and are approved to adopt.
General Notes | Want to adopt this dog? Please do not email us. Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP.
Personality | Noodle is an energetic ball of joy! She loves toys and ear scratches. She's a very curious two-year old and likes to see what you're doing. If she can be a part of it, even better! She's very interested in meeting other people and dogs during a walk and when allowed, politely touches noses with the dogs to say hello. Off-leash at home and in a fenced yard or at the dog park, she gets the zoomies and she's fast!
Story | Noodle was adopted as a puppy from an animal shelter, then found as a stray later. Her owners didn't claim her so she was released to Mile High. She spent time with a foster in Texas before coming to a foster in CO.
Other Dogs | She is very eager to meet other dogs. She's the only dog at her current foster but has met dogs on her walks and is friendly towards them. She would do well to have a playmate in a fenced yard to run around with.
Cats | Not sure
Children | Noodle can be an enthusiastic greeter so school age kids would probably be best.
Training | Noodle is mostly potty trained and working on learning how to greet people from the ground and not in their faces. She is bright and very food motivated so she should get the hang of things quickly. She enters a crate with little encouragement and sleeps well there all night. She would do well in a home where her family will continue her training.
Leash | She has been walking with a harness very well and learning not to pull.
Activity Level | High. She loves to play and is happy taking long exploration walks on the trail. She likes playing in the creek on the trail too. She hasn't had the opportunity while living with her foster, but she would probably like swimming. She's very much a lab!
Health Notes | Noodle is a healthy young dog who is a bit underweight from her time as a stray. The good thing is she is very into all efforts to put her weight back on!
Thank you! |
Adoption Donations | Our adoption donations are $475 for dogs 8 weeks to 1 year, $425 for 1-6 years, $375 for dogs 7-10 years, and $250 for 11+ years of age. Purebred dogs regardless of age are $525. These minimum donations help to defer the costs of initial vet care, food, and supplies while in foster care that currently average over $700 per dog).
Meeting Dogs | Foster dogs may have meet & greets by appointment to approved applicants only. To become an approved applicant - please complete the application process.
Please know | Available dogs are updated as soon as possible and we do our best to keep it up-to-date, but occasionally dogs shown may become unavailable without notice due to a pending adoption.
We encourage you to put in an application even if you don't see your new family member currently, as once you are approved, we can place you on the waiting list for first priority on the selection of the dogs we do bring in. That means you can often meet a dog upon transport arrival and adopt before they even make it to this page!
We can not guarantee that a dog you wish to adopt is available by the time your adoption application is submitted, processed, and approved. Your application is good for 90 days from the time of approval for any dog as long as it is a good fit for your family and your lifestyle.
