My name is Honey!

Honey is a 3 year old shepherd mix who weighs about 70 pounds.

Notes from her foster: “Honey it’s such a sweetheart. When I picked her up, she had to be carried to my car, she was so scared. Then I had to carry her into the house and then practically carry her around the house if I wanted her to move. But by the end of her first afternoon, she was following me around in spite of her shyness. It’s only been a few days, but she’s made herself at home on the dog beds, sleeps in my bedroom on one at night, joins in on the nightly long, chewing dog treats, and has learned the dog door. We will work on getting her comfortable on the leash and although she sacks out in a crate if the door is open, she is otherwise not comfortable in a crate or behind a closed gate like a few that I have throughout the house.

She is dog friendly although she makes a little growling noise while wagging her tail in a friendly way when she’s greeting my other dogs. She is also cat friendly. When I’m home, she follows me everywhere. On some days I’m gone for a few hours and she has no trouble hanging out in the house and is not the least bit destructive. She will make someone or some family a wonderful companion.”
