I adopted Penny from an event at the mall in Pleasanton in 2014, when she was 8 weeks old. She has been a wonderful cat, very sweet and affectionate and a true lap cat, insistent on being on my lap all throughout the day (I work from home). Penny is shy at first with new people but warms up after a while. She is not shy at all with me, of course. She is playful and loves the fishing pole toy as well as her favorite cat nip stuffed toy that she "hunts" at night and howls for to let me know she's made her "kill", it's very cute.
I found out in May that I am pregnant with my second child and will be having to move to Idaho before the birth of this baby. I simply cannot take Penny with me. With a newborn, a 9yo daughter and my daughter's cat Nora that she is extremely bonded with, I fear that Penny will end up neglected and lonely. I want to see her go to a home with someone who is around most of the day, someone who loves cats and will appreciate Penny's love for laps!!
