My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Peaches. I was born in June 2023 and found in North Texas as a stray kitten when I was about two months old. I was adopted from a shelter shortly after I as found and I lived a comfortable life in my new home with my sister, Coconut, and my adoptive mom. But a year later my mom decided she was too busy for furbabies and gave me away on Facebook. Fortunately, a kind soul saw my Facebook post and asked Texas Rustlers Fat Cats to help me find a furever family.

I have soft orange fur and glittery golden eyes. I’m now 16 months old and have been spayed, tested, vaccinated and microchipped. I’m a little shy for a few minutes when I meet someone new but I warm up to them quickly. I’m good with kids and other cats. I’ve been around dogs and can live in the same house with them when properly introduced. People describe me as sweet and energetic. I’m independent and silly but still enjoy attention from my foster mom when I’m finished with playtime and my daily inspection of the nooks and crannies around my house.

I love toys of all kinds and have lots of fun when my foster mom plays with me. I jump in the air and dance around on my hind legs as I try to catch the dangling toy mouse. But my favorite thing to do is sit in the sun by a window with my sister, Coconut, watching birds and squirrels scurry around and viewing people walk by with their puppy dogs. I’m an indoor only furbaby but the world outside my window is an endless source of entertainment for me.

I’m a perfect angel when it comes to using my litter box and my scratching post. I love canned food for dinner and snacking on kibble throughout the day. I especially love kitty treats and will be your best friend for life if you give me tasty treats from time to time. But most of all, you’ll be the center of my whole world if you’ll give me a loving, happy, safe home that will be my furever home this time.
