My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Going about my business on a quiet Saturday in May, the phone rings and it’s the pet store manager. The anxiety in the voice on the other end makes me realize that the best laid plans can change in a heartbeat. In this case it was 4 heartbeats, sweet and wiggling, stuffed in a cardboard box with airholes punched in the top. They had been left on the pet store steps before the store opened. Three solid black boys and a tortie girl were 4-5 weeks old, dirty, hot, and hungry.

Hours later they were clean and their bellies were full. It was such a joy to see them bury their little faces in the food, indicating they had met the milestone of eating on their own. They crashed out in a soft bed—all paws, faces, and tails together. They were safe and they knew.

Fast forward to the present, they are thriving and strong. They are the picture of happy kittens. They love each other and like to pal around with the other foster kittens in the house. They allow the older cats to boss them around. Playing chase with the 3 dogs never gets old. It’s so satisfying as a foster to see them get to this stage but even more satisfying when they finally find their forever family.

Born 4/26/2024

Rowan has left behind any bad memories and embraced boxes. He sits on the Chewy box waiting for it to be emptied and then stakes his claim! He is is seriously into paper crafts using the Chewy box paper. He uses it for sliding, hiding, origami, and of course there is great satisfaction in the fine art of shredding. He loves to sleep in the box covered up with the paper. Rowan is very social and will do best in a home with other animals. Not required, but please consider adopting him with his brother Nigel.
