My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Radar (A134742) is a 3-year-old rabbit who weighed just under 6lbs at intake!

Radar, previously known as HunBun, and his bestie Phineas were surrendered to the shelter because they were becoming destructive in the home. Their surrendering owner stated that they do appreciate a lot of space to hop around and can be quite mischievous. They are a bonded pair and are looking for a home together. If you are unfamiliar with rabbits we highly encourage you to research care requirements prior to adopting. Both these buns were stated to be litterbox trained and used it well. They were also said to do well with the dog in the prior home. In their last home, they were described as shy but friendly rabbits. Radar is more comfortable being handled, whereas Phineas would prefer not to be held but will hop up to be people for pets! These buns were known to enjoy digging and chewing (quite common with rabbits). Providing them with appropriate enrichment and chews is key to keeping your bunny happy and healthy! If you are interested in meeting Phineas and Radar, please let us know!

05/24/24 HunBun was brought to the shelter because her previous owner was experiencing some health issues that prevented them from being able to keep her. HunBun has been through some rough times, as you can tell from her ears! She was said to have lost them to frostbite. HunBun does not let that slow her down though! She was said to enjoy the occasional free roam time out of her hutch, but she was quite comfortable in her spacious, multilevel hutch as well. HunBun was said to get along with humans of all ages, chinchillas and sometimes dogs. She does not mind dogs that do not mind her, but she doesn't care for overly excited canines. HunBun does not like cats and would prefer to be kept separate from any cats in her next home. She was said to get along with the chinchillas in her pervious home just fine! HunBun was said to use her litterbox very reliably, and she LOVES bananas! If you are interested in meeting Miss HunBun, please give the shelter a call!November 7, 2024, 11:17 pm
