My name is Mercedes!

Mercedes is a loving 14 year old dachshund looking for a home to call her own while she lives out her glory days! This little girl has a heart of gold and you can often find her cuddling with you on either the sofa or in bed, making her a true snuggle expert. Don't let her age fool you though, she loves to run in the yard and will do so until her little legs are tired. Mercedes gets along great with other dogs and when cat tested, she did not seem to mind a laid back, dog savvy cat. She LOVES treats! She loves them so much that she will almost take your finger with it because she is get so excited. That being said, she needs work on her treat boundaries and would do best in a home with no small children. Mercedes is also potty trained. With her old age, it may be hard for her to hold it when you are gone for longer periods of time, but she will gladly use a potty pad when left alone. 

Mercedes adoption fee is $250 and includes her spay, microchip, current vaccinations and prevention, plus a free basic obedience class at Cedar Run #2 in Hiawatha. Last Hope requires all animals be kept as indoor only pets and that adopters have a history of keeping their pets altered and current on vaccinations and preventatives. Our adoption process includes a background and reference check, vet history check, and a home visit.
