My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Whiskers!

This handsome kitty in a tuxedo recently came to AFRP from Hitchcock Road Animal Services where he was a long-term resident. Now in a foster home, Whiskers is ready to find his purrfect family!

Whiskers is quite a unique kitty, with a puppy-like attitude! His favorite past-times include playing fetch with his foster, taking cozy naps, and waiting for meal times! He's a social and confident boy and would love to find a home where he can be the center of attention! Whiskers can become overstimulated at times due to petting, so an owner who is able to understand kitty body language or is willing to learn is a must for this handsome guy!

Whiskers may do fine in a home with a cat-savvy dog, but at this time it is unknown how he may do in a home with cats. Slow and proper introductions should be done for any new animal being brought into the home. Adult adopters or families with cat-savvy children over the age of 15 would be best for Whiskers at this time.

Whiskers is currently in foster care. Meet and greets can be arranged once your online application has been approved. Visit www.animalfriendsrescue.org for our online cat application.

Additional adoption info

Adoption fees help to cover the cost of the care the animal has received during their time with us, including spay/neuter, vaccines, microchipping, deworming, and flea treatment and basic foster care.

All potential adopters complete an application and are screened using a standardized series of questions by a trained adoption counselor. If the application and screening are satisfactory, a qualified adopter can complete a contract, pay the adoption fee and take the animal home.
