My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Aloha! I'm Pearl & I'm 8 weeks old! My foster mom says, "The only sister to a litter of four boys, sis has fun chasing and rolling around with her brothers but also takes a break to hang out with her human. She gets her nickname from her spunky attitude and feminine touch and her delicate long calico fur and whiskers that give her a feathery look that makes her look all dressed up like her rocker namesake Janis Joplin. She likes to sleep next to her human and cuddle up at night. Sis is super fast and an accomplished climber. She would love some cat shelves to run a circuit on. She is very gentle and delicate with her claws and her teeth and has a lot of restraint compared to her brothers. She is also SUPER smart and figured out how to unzip her pop-up kennel. She is good with my adult dog." Please apply to adopt me today!

More about this shelter

The Oahu SPCA was founded in April of 2009 and launched its mission, "Every healthy, treatable animal will find a forever home." The overwhelming support of community members was instrumental in helping to establish the first animal shelter in the state of Hawaii with a "no-kill philosophy." On July 18, 2009, 432 animals were relinquished to the Oahu SPCA the Largest Animal Rescue in the history of Hawaii. The Oahu SPCA rescued all 432 animals in 48 hours after the owner of an animal sanctuary in Waianae passes away.
