Duke is an exuberant, goofy boy looking for a loving forever family. He's approximately one year of age and happy to see everyone! Duke is dog friendly and even enjoys the little foster puppies (he can be gentle). Duke knows how to sit politely for a treat but is learning not to jump up on people when excited. He is working on this as he doesn't know his size (or impact).
Duke walks nicely on a leash and rides well in the car. He is eager to please but has been known to jump a fence if things are more exciting on the other side. He would be a great running/hiking/walking buddy.
Duke's shortcoming is he becomes possessive of his people. He is dog friendly and does well with dogs in public, but does not want to share his person with another dog in the home. He would be a great only dog but still friendly enough for hiking, breweries or dog parks. When it is time for snuggles and love --he is not interested in sharing. Therefore, Duke should go to a family that can make him their number one and not make him compete with resident dogs.
Sweet, playful, potty trained and ready to be your go to buddy! Duke is being fostered in Colorado Springs, CO. Interested in learning more about him or discussing a meet and greet? Please submit a no obligation adoption application today
