A beacon of hope shines bright as GRRAND and animal advocates across the commonwealth collaborate to help rescue animals trapped in a devastating hoarding situation on a rural County Kentucky farm. Advocates eagerly await justice for the abused animals and the swift rescue of those still suffering in inhumane conditions. We are happy to say Leslie is in a foster home and they say:
"Leslie, a neglected rural county hoarding dog, has blossomed into a loving companion. At five years old, she now boasts a stunning cream coat.
Initially reserved, Leslie now adores human touch. She excels at leash walking, crate training, and housebreaking. A gentle soul, Leslie thrives on affection, enjoys leisurely walks, and is a skilled car rider. If you desire a loyal friend, Leslie is your ideal match. As with ALL the dogs from this retrieval they are a flight risk and need extra precaution and will need an above ground securely fenced yard."
It's awful to think of the terrible lives and abuse they have been subjected to. A litter of 4 week old puppies were found on the property and all had to be treated at the Emergency Vet for Parvo to save their lives and sadly, one did not make it. We have extremely high vet expenses for these dogs and really need ongoing donations to pay for all their care and we are also in desperate need of foster homes for these dogs.
As we continue to assess the individual needs of these deserving animals, additional information to come, so please check back for more updates... Prior to being in her foster home, the kennel staff says: Leslie, is a very sweet yet timid girl who will take treats and will let me pet her, but still very timid. She has not been socialized and will need a family with lots of patience and who will be committed to the time it will take to help her work through any fears and insecurities she has.
