My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Maverick is a bright and independent boy with lots of fun energy!

He loves to play with other dogs and is great with cats but he doesn’t mind separating from the pack and spending time to himself!
During the day he loves to spend time outdoors as much as indoors. He is always on alert and lets you know when he senses visitors.

He is kennel trained, and is house broken.
We love his big smile, and his big, fun ears which have a mind of their own and are always flip-flopping all over the place!
Maverick needs to be fed separate from smaller breed dogs as he does tend to want to eat their food if given the chance.

CalPaws K9 Rescue was established in October 2019. We are an all-volunteer non-profit dog rescue focused on saving dogs of all ages and breeds. Our volunteers consist of experienced animal rescuers located across the San Francisco Bay area and beyond.
