My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you're searching for a snuggly companion who just wants to be by your side, look no further than Maximus! This charming 6-year-old Basset/Beagle mix is as lovable as they come, and he's ready to find his forever home.

Maximus is a superstar on a leash and absolutely adores car rides-just imagine all the adventures you could share together! While he gets a bit anxious in a crate, he's a well-mannered boy when left out, making him perfect for someone who works from home. He loves to play rough and has a heart full of joy, getting along well with other dogs! No cats for Maximus, please.

Maximus is a sweetheart who adores all humans, though he might be a bit too protective for families with small children.

His adoption fee is $100, which covers his vaccinations, microchip, heartworm testing, and neuter surgery. If you think you can provide the love and attention Maximus deserves, apply to adopt him today at www.lucky13rescue.org! Your new best friend is waiting!

More about this rescue

Lucky 13 Rescue is a federal 501(c)3 organization dedicated to the rescue and aid of homeless and neglected dogs in the Kansas City metro and surrounding rural areas. We do not limit our efforts to a specific breed, but rather strive to assist any dog that is facing neglect, homelessness, abuse or death. Our ultimate goal is to rehabilitate each canine in our care through placement in loving fosters homes until they can be carefully matched with adoptive families.
