My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Sarah: A Sweet & Shy Girl Ready to Find Her Forever Home! 🐾

Hi, I’m Sarah, a gentle pup with a heart full of love, and I’m ready for a fresh start! My birthday is June 29th, and while I’m still adjusting to my new life, I’m making great progress every day. Here’s a little more about me:

--- Shy but Sweet: I may be a little shy and nervous at first, but I’m trying my best to meet new people and come out of my shell. With a little patience and love, I know I’ll bloom into the perfect companion.

--- Crate Training Star: I’m doing wonderfully with crate training and feel safe and secure in my cozy little space.

--- Friendly with Everyone: I’ve been socialized with kids, dogs, and cats, so I’m well on my way to being a well-rounded pup.

--- Learning Housebreaking: My housebreaking is coming along, but I’ll need a consistent schedule to help me fully get the hang of it.

--- Improving Impulse Control: When I first arrived, I couldn’t resist jumping up to greet everyone! But I’ve been working on my impulse control, and I’m doing great now.

I’m fully up to date on my shots, spayed, microchipped, and I’ve been on a consistent flea/tick and deworming schedule. As for my breed? We’re not quite sure, but I could be a mix of Lab, Boston Terrier, or even Frenchie. But let’s be real—70% of people guess dog breeds wrong, so it’s all just part of the fun!

If you’re looking for a loving, slightly shy girl who’s ready to blossom in a caring home, I’m the pup for you. Come meet me today and let’s start a beautiful journey together! 🏡❤️

Additional adoption info

The dogs in our care will be adopted out with an updated vet exam, they will be up to date on their rabies (if of age), and DHPP. All dogs will also be microchipped and dewormed. If they are of age, they will also be altered. We do not do pediatric spays or neuters so a deposit is required at the time of adoption, once the dog is altered, the deposit will be returned.

Due to the American Veterinary Medical Association's recommendation to not spay/neuter dogs under 6 or 12 months depending on breed and our vets recommendation. Large-breed puppies under 6-months will not be altered prior to adoption but do require a deposit that will be returned once your dog is altered. Small breed and adults that are 6-months or older, will be done prior to adoption.

During the time spent at Forever Fido, all dogs will be socialized with many confident and social dogs of all ages, safely interact with kids of many ages, appropriately meet a variety of humans, start potty and crate training, and begin basic puppy manners including impulse control.
