My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Dolly and her adorable trio of puppies—rescued from the brink of tragedy. Dolly is a loving and gentle English bulldog who, along with her 7-week-old puppies, narrowly escaped euthanasia at a high-kill shelter. This beautiful little family was abandoned and left with no hope, but now they’re getting a second chance at life, and we’re determined to find them the loving homes they so desperately deserve.

Dolly is a sweet mama who has been through so much, and it shows in her tired eyes and skin issues that likely resulted from months of neglect. Yet despite it all, her heart remains full of love. She adores attention and will melt into your arms with gratitude when given the chance to feel safe. She’s been a dedicated mother to her puppies, but now she deserves a chance to be cared for, to rest, and to experience the joy of being someone’s cherished pet. Dolly is great with people, and with the right care, she will blossom into the happy, healthy dog she’s meant to be.

Her three puppies are nothing short of miracles themselves—each one full of life, love, and curiosity. These sweet babies have their whole lives ahead of them, and we want to make sure they grow up in homes where they’ll never know fear, hunger, or loneliness again. At just 7 weeks old, they are starting to explore the world, and we’re looking for patient, loving families who will nurture their development and give them the forever homes they need to thrive.

We are seeking homes for Dolly and her puppies, as they deserve to be the center of attention in families that can give them the love and care they’ve been denied. Adopting Dolly and/or any of her puppies means giving them the fresh start they deserve, a chance to experience love and happiness after such a rough beginning. If you have space in your heart and home, please consider opening it to Dolly or her precious babies.

More about this rescue

We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing dogs from various Los Angeles shelters the day they are to be euthanized. Our goal is to help provide animals with a second chance to a happy life and to help reduce pet overpopulation through spay and neuter programs. Once rescued, we place our dogs into loving foster homes while they await adoption. We do not keep dogs in kennels. Placing the dogs in foster homes is the first step to rehabilitation, as it allows us to thoroughly evaluate a dog's demeanor and needs enabling us to make the perfect match of dog and permanent owner. We attribute our high rate of successful placement to our foster program. At Ace of Hearts, we do not discriminate against any breed, including those in the bully breed family. Additionally, Ace of Hearts is dedicated to educating the public on how to be responsible pet owners and on the importance of spaying and neutering. We believe the real solution to pet overpopulation is through spaying and neutering pets.
