About Timber:
Timber came to TCPR from Alabama so his background is mostly unknown. However, we've found that he is THE BEST boy and will make a lucky family so happy with his companionship. Timber's energy level has been well managed at our house with his normal potty breaks in our back yard where he does his business and then explores a little. He likes to sniff around or follow us/our kids around to see if there's something he can help with. He's walked well on a leash when we need to bring him to vet appointments or events. So we'd guess that he would be a good walking companion as well. When we first come home or when it's the morning potty time, he gets excited and may jump up on us. But outside of that he's good about keeping all four on the floor and he's pretty even keeled!
Timber absolutely LOVES our 5 year old child and will snuggle with her at night. We usually find that he burrows himself in her blankets at night but is always right next to her. He has been very gentle with our young child as well and will often sit with her on the couch to watch a movie. We have resident dogs as well and Timber was a little unsure of them at first. But fits right in with them now. He doesn't seem to seek them out so we think he would be fine as an only dog as well. He's ignored our cats from the beginning and is unfazed when one of the cats tries to play or cuddle with him.
We initially kenneled Timber when we were away or asleep. He needed a little convincing to go into his crate but was quiet and calm when in it. He has since proved to be trustworthy when left alone out of his kennel so we let him roam free. He's also become a pro at potty training. He had a couple accidents when he first arrived but now that he's settled in there has been none.
Overall, Timber is an absolute gem of a dog and we have loved having him in our home! He is gentle, adaptable, and so so so sweet. He would make a great dog for a single person who is looking for their first dog or a family that wants to add a canine into the mix!
Timber is fixed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations for his age.

Twin Cities Pet Rescue (TCPR) is a small, 501c3 nonprofit, companion animal rescue organization. TCPR does not have a facility and is 100% foster-based. TCPR rescues dogs, cats and small animals of all breeds; rescuing them from city impounds, puppy mills, and other situations of abuse and neglect. Once rescued, all animals receive veterinary care ranging from spay/neuter, vaccines, microchips, and basic testing to specialty eye surgeries, pet dermatology care, and various other specialty treatments. Once an animal is rescued by TCPR, it remains in a foster home until adopted, no matter how long that might take.
TCPR often rescues animals that are considered “less adoptable” by other rescue organizations, as they are often the ones overlooked and truly left behind; and in need of the most help. These animals might be overlooked due to their age, health status, special needs or breed. TCPR works to help as many animals in need find their furever families as we can, especially helping those animals that need help most.
