Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Welcome Gus!
Gus came to MAR from a colony of outdoor cats! Once he was neutered, vaccinated, and hanging out waiting for a placement in a barn, he decided he preferred the indoor life, and didn’t want to go back. He is super friendly and deserves the chance at a safe indoor home, like he should have always had. He is about 5 months old, house trained, microchipped, fully vetted and ready for adoption!
Gus is still getting used to the indoor life, and being loved by humans! So, while he LOVES being pet (and will immediately start purring very loudly, and will even show his belly for some rubs), he doesn’t like to be picked up and prefers if you interact with him slowly and with patience! Which is totally far, the poor guy is learning to trust!
He enjoys playing with the other cats/kittens in the home, and is very gentle with them. He is also learning to play with inside toys! He would love a family who teaches/shows him everything he has been missing out on!
We think he would do well in a home more on the quiet side (no small children, or dogs), but yes to cats!
If you are interested in giving Gus the good life, please visit our website at www.muskokaanimalrescue.com and complete an application form.

More about this rescue
We are a volunteer-based, donation-only service that provides adoption services for people who are looking for a new furry addition to their family. We also provide non-judgemental, supportive help for people who are surrendering their companion animals.
We provide free advice and suggestions to people who are experiencing issues with their pets, including but not limited to behavioural issues, training advice, surrender help, and much more: spay/neuter education, advice and referrals.
We have a screening process that includes an application, telephone screen and a home visit to make sure the people are "as good as they sound on the phone". We also contact their vet and do a reference check.
We are committed to helping people find homes for their pets because we care about our community and love animals.
