Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Kumo is a bundle of happiness, and has a never ending supply of energy! This handsome guy is around 3-4 years old, and is as lovable as they come. Kumo would love nothing more than to have room to run, a yard to play in, and someone who’s arm doesn’t tire easily from playing fetch. He does well with other dogs. He is dog door trained, but without one, will need help learning where to go. Kumo also has a very sensitive stomach and will need to be on a lamb or pork diet (this is what he has done well on in the past) and may need Vet treatment from time to time if he has a flare up. Older kiddos are recommended, as this 90lb guy needs some help in the jumping up department. He has the potential to knock a full-grown human over, so could definitely accidently knock down a small child when his happiness takes over. He is a quick learner and loves to do things for the throw of a ball! His ideal family would be one that can match his zest for life and provide him with plenty of exercise and stimulation. If you are looking for a loyal companion who is always up for some fun, Kumo may be your guy. He is currently available for meet and greets with humans, but has to wait to meet other dogs in the home or be adopted until after he is neutered on the 22nd. Give us a call if you would like to meet him.

Here at the Red Desert Humane Society we strive to place pets in the best homes possible. We ask that you fill out an adoption application prior to meeting our animals. One can be emailed to you.
Once we receive your application we will review your application. During this process we will make calls to Landlords (if applicable). As well as your veterinarian that has provided care for your past or present pets.
We ask that you provide photos of your current residence where the dog will be living.
Once this is complete we ask that your bring your current animals (if any) to the shelter to meet your potential new pet as to prevent any possible problems once you get home.
If all of this goes well and you are approved we will then have you sign our adoption contract as well as pay the adoption fee.
Please call for our adoption fees or any other information.

More about this shelter
The Red Desert Humane Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to the placement of previously homeless animals in new, loving environments.
We alter and vaccinate all animals prior to placement, and screen all applicants to ensure a lifelong match between people and pets. We also educate the community about the importance of spaying and neutering pets, proper pet care, and animal welfare. We place dogs and cats in loving, forever homes!
